Unlocking Huawei E1550 Idea Netsetter 3G Usb Modem
Hey folks,two weeks ago one of my friend gave an idea netsetter usb modem to unlock. After a long search on the internet i failed to find any successfully working post on this one. Four days back i got some applications from a local friend and by applying that i was able to successfully unlock the modem to use with any sim to acess internet.
First of all let me explain you about what is actually meant by unlocking.
The HUAWEI E1550 3G Modem is locked by company to use with the default sim that they provide but by the tools i provide you can sucessfully unlock your modem to use with any networks sim.
Note: Try it at you own risk. i am not responsible for any damage caused by any means.
After successful unlocking and testing i decided to create a topic on my forum to help others to easily unlock the device without any problem that I have to face during my research.

thnx for the upload i have use the unlocker while unlocking my system was shutdown after that the device is nit connecting .pls tell what to do
isnt it even detecting as a removable device plugged in ?
it is detecting 3G modem only. it is not showing the installer cd and the sd card reader also.what to do for it.

i got struck while unlocking my huawei E1550 where after giving the code the further step is not proceeding. kindly suggest the steps to take care
enter your imei number(will be at the bottom of the sim card slot) and enter it in huwei unloker.exe
copy the NCK code and enter it as the password

try entering either the flash code or NCK code i am not sure which to enter..plz try it and reply so that it will help others to do it easily..

is one of these actually the E155Xupdate_11-608_02.00.B418.exe
update you mentioned? If not, where might one get the E155Xupdate_11-608_02.00.B418.exe update
The only links in Google Search refer to this URL and the URL to your blog. That update would be useful since you say it must be used first.

Where is that mentioned? A search on this site using “Dotproxy”, without the quotes came up wit a comment of “No Posts”.
I am using a E1550, and Idea and the connection is so slow it breaks constantly, and is otherwise slow that it takeme half an hour to open a site. So, could you email me responses to this and my previous comment?

i have download all software and unlock my data card but my data card after reinstall show the spesifide sim card and when i am insert other operater sim its not working and not show network plz help me soon
I am also having the same problem as @anvesha.
the datacard is unlocked but other sim\’s are not catching signal and nothng is happening. help me soon
it may be due to low signal or there will be any error in the steps you performed..i had sucessfully unlocked my device and i am using it…plz retry the procedure..

so before starting with,lemme ask u few things ,can i use the mobile partner as a software to connect,to check statistics and status??can i use any simcard that provide even 2G service in it??? should i configure the device each time i change the sim??if yes,the procedure includes the entire steps shown in thes creen shots??i have already downoaded ur essential softwares.can huawei lock or disable the device permanently if they come to know about this??? i’m sorry to ask u so many questions.its jus out of curiosity .

Everything works. My e1550 got unlocked but having trouble connecting BSNL 3g other cards(GPRS) works fine. It gives 619 error. I have correct apn settings. Plz help…
i think you need to add proxy and port inorder to connect..

you can use mobile partner or the default huawei software shown at the autorun (when you plugin your device after unlocking) to connect to the internet using any sim card
bro one last question,should i repeat each steps again whenever i want to change the simcards??for example if i use Docomo for a month and then i switch to airtel,should i repeat all the process???usually if we insert other simcards before unlocking,the device get locked.and one thing i noticed in ur details to put an idea sim right after unlocking and to enter the PUK code..is that necessary???can i use an airtel sim card instead???because i dont have another idea sim other than the one in the device.pls help..i will reply with the successful news then
no..once unlocked its unlocked forever..
and for entering PUK you need the idea sim itself..borrow it from anyone..that will do it..

hey friend . i have airtel modem huawei e1550 that supporting every sim i means every operator . but when i try to connect to bsnl 3g or docomo 3g its shows the signal but not able to connect other edge and gprs running fine . will u plz short out the problem give me mail if u find the appropriate ans with u

sir i have an unlocked idea netsetter E1550 but now from few days it now not connected in WCDMA mode (in TATA docomo as well not in bsnl)but it connected in edge mode .please help me why it not connected in 3g mode.

hi JIGAR please help me , i had cracked huawei E-1550 and upgraded with the firmware:E155XUpdate_11.608.13.02.00.B418 and it was running good on WCDMA NETWORK the speed was between 150-250kbps, from july 2010 till now ,but now in ,march 2011 it is running only on EDGE with speed too low i.e 10-40kbps while dashboard shows WCDMA NETWORK but on connecting it tell network is terminated and it do not connenct and then i go in TOOLS>OPTIONS>NETWORK>NETWORK TYPE, HERE WHEN I CHANGE TO ” GSM ONLY” IT starts connecting on EDGE .WHY IT NOT CONNECTS NOW WITH WCDMA LIKE BEFORE, I HAVE EVEN UPGRADED THE FIRMWARE TO E-1550 (E155XUpdate_11.608.14.15.311.B418) BUT PROBLEM IS STILL THERE SPEED IS LOW ON EDGE .WHAT WOULD BE THE PROBLEM IS IT DUE TO LOW NETWORK COVRAGE OR ANY OTHER RESON PLEEEEESE TELL ME e-MAIL :johanjd@yahoo.in
