Virtual Machines: VMware: Installing Ubuntu 10.04
After the installation tutorial of Ubuntu in Vbox and VirtualPC , I think that the installation procedure in VMware can be in brief. So these are the brief set of instructions to install Ubuntu in VMware 3.0 in Windows Vista.
1. To obtaining VMware, visit their download page.
2. Once downloaded, install VMware.
3. After completing installation, restart your computer.
4. Obtaining Ubuntu: visit ubuntu.com and download Ubuntu 9.10, if you have not done that already.
5. You can either a) burn Ubuntu onto a CD or b) just leave Ubunto on its own .iso file
6. Now start VMware Player
7. Click on Create A New Virtual Machine
8. If you have Ubuntu in a CD, check Installer Disk and select the proper CD drive.
9. If you have Ubuntu in an .iso file, check Install Disk Image File (iso) => then Browse for the location of the .iso file.
10. Here i am using the .iso file to install.

11. Once your iso file is selected, click next to enter your login information

12. Follow the next a few screens then begin your installation
